Birthday at Phoenix Zoo

Monday we decided to take the kids to the Phoenix Zoo to celebrate Britta's birthday. We went with a friend and her daughter, and we all had a pretty good time!

Britta has a thing for slides. She went down this slide in Harmony Farm about a dozen times.

My kids thought it was hilarious to put a hat on the Gila Monster's head -- there's one on his tail too -- I just didn't get that in the shot.

Maddy took it upon herself to navigate with the map.

Britta Turns 2

January 11, 2008 Britta Micole Alverson was born at home in our then Queen Creek Arizona home. I can't believe our tiny perfect baby girl is already 2 years old! We had a small birthday party at our house with family yesterday.

She also received one of those rubbery spiky toy balls. It scared her to death. She literally screamed aloud and ran from the room - multiple times.

This morning we gave her our present -- an electric toothbrush shaped like the Little Mermaid. She loves toothbrushes! :D
