Cowboy Stuff

Again, at the fair. Maddy had fun on the manual bull. Luckily the guy making it "go" didn't try to buck her off.

Fresh Milk!

Another fun thing at the fair. The kids got to "milk a cow" while they were there. They got a kick out of it.

More Petting Zoo

It was fun to let the kids wander around and let them explore these animals -- some of which they'd never seen before.

Petting Zoo

At the fair they had a fun little petting zoo. The kids -- especially River -- LOVED it. There were a TON of different kinds of animals! From goats, to zebu, to pigs -- they seemed to have it all!





River even got to hug a camel.
















River didn't like the rooster crow though, and kept covering his ears.

Fun at the Fair

Last Wednesday was fieldtrip day at the Arizona State Fair. They also allowed families that are homeschooling to get in for free -- well, I got in free with the 3 kids, but we paid half price ($6) for Cameron to come, too -- and parking was free (normally $12). We had a GREAT time. We got there around noon and ate some lunch (we brought homemade chili in little thermos cups -- I HIGHLY recommend those snack cups!!). Then we toured around. There was SO much to do. The kids were GREAT, and we honestly didn't even spend much money at all!

Bat Puppets!

I helped the kids make bat puppets the other day. They turned out great!

Grandparents

Britta doesn't normally take to anyone but Mama -- but Grandpa Lloyd seemed to have the magic touch that day!
Grandma Marsha took Maddy along for her work party at Dave and Buster's. There's nothing like an outing with your grandparents!

Curlers

You know a good daddy by whether or not he's willing to wear a curler in a photograph.

Uncle Landon

This was at The Cheesecake Factory a few days before Landon left on his mission. He carried River on his shoulders a good portion of the 1 1/2 wait before our group of 18(!) was seated. Good uncle.

Maddy likes her veggies. She likes veggie towers equally as well.

Play Food

The kids are holding some of the wooden ruits from our play kitchen (nick named the "Baby Kitchen") that is right next to my normal sized kitchen. They spend a lot of time there. Britta crawls over to eat a banana whenever she's hungry. This is River's smile. It seems when we ask him to smile he takes it as, "Purse your lips and shut your eyes." Silly boy.

Halloween Crafts

Since the end of September, I have been sitting the kids down as often as I can to do Halloween crafts. Halloween is Madalyn's favorite holiday. Plus, having kids crafts hanging all over the house is what the holidays are all about anyhow! The craft they're each holding here is a witch door hanger. They have been quite a pain to keep hung on their doorknobs, but they sure had fun making them!
