Father's Day Party

We had a little Father's Day Party at Cameron's Step Dad's house the Saturday before the big day. It was a lot of fun. Great party pool!

Freecycle Score

Since moving to Fountain Hills, I've discovered something wonderful: The North Scottsdale/Fountain Hills Freecycle. For those of you unfamiliar with Freecycle it's a national (maybe international) organization focused on keeping our stuff out of the landfills. If you don't want something, you post and give it away. If you are needing something, you can post and if someone has that they are wanting to give away, they'll email you. It's great. When living in Queen Creek, the freecycle board was terrible. People only gave away junk, and nobody responded to requests. But in North Scottsdale, I guess people are feeling more generous. There are incredible things posted every day. People give away their entire livingroom sets. I've seen a laptop given away.

So, just the other day someone posted that they had some toys that needed to be given away, some Tonka trucks, and some Lincoln Logs. I was all over the lincoln logs! Plus, the person lives right by Cameron's work! So, I emailed and we picked the things up that evening. The kids LOVE the giant trucks. There is a firetruck, a flat bed truck, and a helecopter! The lincoln logs rock too! What a fun score! Makes me want to give stuff away...

Yesterday was Cameron's 27th Birthday. I tried really hard to make him feel special on his big day. He got a lunch out for his birthday (the two older kids were with a sitter), a treat at the office, homemade orange chicken for dinner, brownies, and a party!











One of his gifts was a utinsel set for our barbaque. He also got a big flood light so he can see to grill at night!










This tool box will finally get his tools out of the big cardboard box in the garage!

Whipping Cream EVERYWHERE

Our hand mixer is broken. Speeds 1 and 2 do not work. Speed 3 is FAST. It always sprays things everywhere. But when you need to mix, you NEED TO MIX. I was whipping cream for our after church cheesecake dessert. The dark colored dress makes the splashes even more noticable. We need a new mixer. And I need to wash my dress.
